Since a trip to Mexico at 13, I’ve craved travel–it’s richness of culture, nature, and new perspectives. After a year in Romania, I returned to the U.S. to build a successful wedding and boudoir photography business that carried me to Ireland, England, and beyond. 

I had three liberations in my 20s and 30s: Mental, Spiritual, & Sexual.

I started Ladygroove in the midst of my religious deconstruction after confronting a proverbial snake of shame around my neck.

Around this time, I realized that I was bored to tears shooting traditional boudoir, disconnected from my Eros & healing from complex PTSD. I had a 20-year resume of hating my body and myself. When I asked women what they loved about their bodies, most of them pointed to the parts they didn’t like. I wept. My body and soul rejected the dishonesty of photoshopping women’s bodies. Drawn to our full-spectrum Erotic nature, I experimented by adding food & plants to my shoots. Women ate in front of the camera. We slathered their bodies in lemons, candles, and tenderness. We sprawled, squeezed, laughed, and screamed. 

As we made friends with the darkness, we felt the shackles of societal standards fall to our feet. We let the grief and self-hatred of generations move through our bones, making way for love. Today, I’m delighted to travel the planet, partner with retreat leaders, and co-create moments of self-reconciliation through Art. I believe life is to be lived, right now. Let’s do this, together.
